This is NOT the official MerseyRail website!

And again

That’s two journeys in a row that have been cocked up – I’m sitting at Manor Road waiting for the next train, thanks to Merseyrail being unable to run the 11:56 because of “operating difficulties”. What are those then, finding a train that works, perhaps?

Firstly, can I just say what a breath of fresh air this website is!

It really does make me laugh that the people who are objecting to this website actually having the guts to criticise Merseyrail work for the company! Is it any wonder they’re not happy, their beloved organisation taking some well-deserved flack? Unbelievable cheek!

If you thought the West Kirby line was bad, try using the Southport – Hunts Cross route. Horribly congested trains for most of the day, every day. Peak hours are inadequate enough, but the situation on weekends is appalling. Three car trains all day in the winter months which is nowhere near enough. Sundays have just a half-hour service which is woeful for such a busy line. If there’s a football home game on as well, things are even worse – they leave people behind at times then.

Capacity is a very serious issue on the network but the staff seem to ignorantly pass it off as insignificant. They can rant and rave about statistics all they want. The fact is they’re not half as good as they think they are.

Great to see an update on here Chris!

@James Capacity is certainly an issue and surely a health and safety one at that. Surely there should be a limit to the amount of people allowed to stand at any given time.

I have used Miseryrail for about 8 years for most days of my week to travel to work as well as other places. When things go smoothly (or I can put up with their problems enough to go somewhere) its great but those days are long gone.

Also if anyone from Merseyrail is reading (like in the past) I would love to see you comment on the issues raised here because I could type a load of them which have never been resolved/explained over the last few years.
